Engagement Photos at Grange Audubon Center located in Columbus, Ohio on the Whittier Peninsula just one mile south of downtown. This Metro Park provides such diversity for an engagement session which is why it’s one of my favorites.

Rebecca and Ryan first met in Middle School and ultimately were High School sweethearts. They love to run together, hit the slopes for a fun ski trip when possible, go on adventurous hikes, kayak and go fishing on warm summer days. So, let’s just say they love the outdoors! Having their engagement session at Grange Audubon was a breeze since the location completely fits their venturesome lifestyle and personalities.

The Proposal

Rebecca and Ryan planned a romantic getaway to Niagara Falls, Canada. Every year the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights takes place. They had an itinerary of many activities planned while there, however, Ryan insisted on swaying from one of those activities to go see the fireworks show at Niagara Falls State Park. Can you blame him? Seeing a fireworks display under the falls sounds remarkable! Ryan is a very laid back kinda guy so him insisting on something made Rebecca a little suspicious, but she knew that Ryan has always had a love for fireworks and she went with the flow.

They went on an amazing tour through Niagara Falls and walked to many locations, decorated Christmas cookies together, had a few festive cocktails and roasted marshmallows at a bonfire. Pretty romantic, eh? Afterwards, they walked through the park that was full of Christmas magic and twinkling lights. Ryan found the perfect spot for them to have some privacy right in front of the falls for him to get down on one knee just as the falls were lighting up and the fireworks began. What a magical moment! After 10 years of being together, it was a no brainer for Rebecca, the easiest YES!
