Blue Steel and Grocery Carts
When I met up with Olivia and Craig in the Short North for their engagement photos I had no idea what a blast we would have! It was a sunny and absolutely beautiful February afternoon.
We first started the session at North Bank Park. I personally love the look of dead winter trees & come to find out, so does Olivia. I had Craig practice dipping Olivia. Ya know, getting prepped for their big day in August. I think he nailed it. They then shared secrets, laughs, kisses, cuddles and danced in the sunshine. Every moment when I didn’t prompt them to smile Craig kept mentioning “Blue Steel“. It took me a minute to figure out what he was referring to. But when I wanted a more serious look from them all I had to say was “Blue Steel” and boom! I think they have the look. After a wardrobe change we headed over to the Short North where it was super busy because of the rare 60 degree day we were having here in Columbus, Ohio. We experienced so many random photographs like a motorcyclist driving by and me capturing it in the frame. At the end of the session Olivia and Craig noticed a grocery cart laying on it’s side and decided to have some fun with it. Olivia easily hopped inside the basket and Craig started spinning her. Without thinking twice about it, I had to capture this spontaneity. Olivia and Craig are set to wed at the Darby House this summer and I can’t wait to spend the day with them capturing all their smiles, secrets, laughs, love and spontaneity.
How cute are they?! These are gorgeous!
Loving the setup with the trees in the background! So beautiful!
I love the photo with the motorcycle driver blurred in the frame. And the grocery cart ones are so fun!
Great photos! I’m from Columbus, and love the Short North!
These are amazing! Beautiful shots. Columbus looks nice this time of year.
