Park Of Roses Engagement

Alex and Niky

This Park of Roses Engagement session started out gloomy but finished with a bang.

If you’ve never been to the Park of Roses when their fields of roses are in bloom, I highly suggest you go! Or better yet. stay in the comfort of scrolling your device and check out this gorgeous engagement session that took place on a beautiful June evening.

Alex and Niky met coincidentally. Alex and his friends were regulars at a neighborhood bar that Niky was working as a cocktail server. Her coworker, who was great friends with Alex, introduced them. They began hanging out and really hit it off at an engagement party that same bar was having for another employee. Needless to say they have been together since and here they are! ENGAGED!

The Proposal Story

Niky described Alex’s proposal as incredibly romantic and very well planned and executed! Every year her and her friends have a tradition of going to the pumpkin patch. Some years Alex comes, some years he doesn’t, but this past October he seemed VERY excited about going and invited a much larger group of their friends than usual.

At the pumpkin patch, they went on a hayride and were all walking around the patch trying to pick the best pumpkins, when Alex convinced Niky over to one and points to it. She saw a little sign in the patch with a poem on it and her name. At this point, she is confused and has no idea what’s going on. Kinda the plan, right?! There sat a little tiny pumpkin next to the poem. She picks it up and opens in and VOILA! Her ring was inside! She then turned to Alex and he was down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said YES! Niky was 100% surprised and couldn’t have imagined a more perfect proposal. So kudos Alex!

Their favorite things to do as a couple is hand out with their two adorable Pug pups and eat tacos. Who doesn’t love tacos?! Alex is considered a great handyman and is an avid sports fanatic. Niky loves running marathons and doing yoga.

Alex and Niky decided on doing their engagement session at Whestone Park of Roses located in Clintonville. It’s a park within a park with a stunning rose garden that is in full bloom every summer. We literally dodged the rain and it ended up being an absolute gorgeous evening with a golden sunset.
