Fall Foliage Highbanks Metro Park Engagement

Laura and Nick chose Highbanks Metro Park located in Columbus, Ohio for their fall engagement. The park is on 1,200 acres and absolutely breathtaking. With plenty of activities to do from biking, hiking and kayaking, it’s definitely one of my favorite parks located just north of Columbus, Ohio. On this overcast autumn day the fall foliage of the leaves and wild grass were full of vibrancy. Exactly what Laura and Nick wanted for their photos. I love their choice of colors for their wardrobe. You can see just tiny speckles of red in Laura’s sweater in the changing leaves behind them. I had such a great time with Laura and Nick exploring the park and capturing their laughter and cute gentle cuddles. This park is very meaningful to them both which you’ll read why a little further down on with their proposal story.

How They Met

Laura and Nick worked together at a dining hall at OSU. They had previously talked, but only a couple of times. Laura just had a great feeling about him so SHE asked him out on her last day of work at the dining hall before she went on to new adventures at a new job. It was really out of character for her as she is usually extremely shy but it definitely worked out! Nick proposed to Laura at a look-out spot at Highbanks metro park. He felt it was the most ideal spot to propose since they like to go for walks and hiking there a lot together. While Laura was looking at the beautiful view of the park, Nick has moved in for the proposal and when Laura turned back toward Nick he was down on one knee! So romantic! Can’t wait to capture their bid day!!
