Courtney and Donovan are the kind of clients that every photographer just adores. They’re super laid back, so much in love and they’re smiles are the most contagious. They initially met in the good ol’ lone star state of Texas while attending basic training for the U.S. Air Force. They love to travel together and have already been to so many places like Paris, Whales, Scotland and Belgium. They also enjoy just hanging out together with their feline named Gizmo.

So, a little back story about their Slate Run Farm Engagement photos. As most of you probably know I have three children. They were away for the day visiting with their grandma. When my husband came home from work and I was just about to head out to meet up with Courtney and Donovan I nonchalantly asked if he wanted to come along and assist me. To my surprise, he said sure. Say What?!! So away we went. I even told him on the way there that I may just put a camera in his hands. He’s never photographed anything really besides a few iPhone photos here and there of me and the kids. Well sure enough once we got to Slate Run Farm after visiting a small vineyard, I put a camera in his hands and set the settings to what I had wanted. He actually did an okay job. We all quickly became the best of friends hanging out at Slate Run in a field full of bugs yet such a beautiful sunset. Afterwards we all went to the new Brew Dog in Canal Winchester and cooled off with a beer and some burgers. We just made it a double date and had the greatest time together. I think it’s time for us to schedule another double date 😉
