Homestead Park Engagement photos with Brenna and Benjamin at the picturesque setting, located just west of Columbus in Hilliard, Ohio. This hidden gem offers a perfect backdrop for a romantic spring engagement. As you enter the park, you are greeted by a beautiful pond, its calm waters reflect the spring season of renewal and growth. Just next to the pond is a covered bridge that adds a touch of rustic charm. Beyond the bridge is a beautiful field of wheat colored ornamental grass and cattails that I had to include in their session. Not to mention the tall pines standing proud, casting shadows that dance with the setting sun. Their laughter echoed through the park and I was honored to capture these two souls deeply in love.

How They Met

But let’s rewind for a bit to understand how beautiful Brenna and Benjamin’s love story is. Their journey began in their senior year of High School. Brenna with her passion for baseball, became an assistant manager for the varsity baseball team, while Benjamin was a player on the team. As fate would have it, their paths crossed and a deep friendship formed, eventually evolving into something more.

The Proposal

When the time came for Benjamin to propose, he knew he wanted to recreate the magic of their very first date. So he planned for the two of them to visit Lake Hollingsworth, a popular spot in Lakeland, Florida, known for its scenic beauty and walking path that spans three miles. They walked hand in hand, retracing their steps from their first date, stopping by the shoreline. In that moment is when Benjamin dropped to one knee and asked Brenna to be his forever.

Together they have a shared love for baseball. They enjoy collecting baseball cards, going to games, and cheering on their favorite teams. They also find joy in exploring nature through walking, hiking, attending concerts and discovering new culinary experiences in local restaurants. Their spring engagement session at Homestead Park captured not only their love for each other but also the enchanting beauty of spring.
