Pins Mechanical Company Engagement Session

Ben and Topher

Ben and Topher’s engagement session at Pins Mechanical Company was nothing short of perfect. The way these two laughed with each other is everything we are all searching for.

Pins Mechanical Company gave the session a unique industrial feel. The exposed beams and red brick covering every wall were the perfect touches.

The couple played foosball, duckpin bowling, ping pong and pinball, while I was behind the camera hoping to radiate their love through every photo. Ben and Topher were in their natural element smooching and laughing every chance they got. Seriously, these two never stop smiling.

The most clever way to ask someone out!

Topher and Ben were working at the same place always keeping an eye on one another. Ben needed a charging cord for his phone and asked Topher if he had one. Topher offered his charging cable but on one condition, only if Ben would text him so they could finally begin getting to know each other.  And you know what they say, the rest is history.

Let’s hear about the proposal!

Ben and Topher had been discussing who was going to propose their entire two years of dating. Finally, the task fell on Ben. The couple had rings and knew they were ready to be engaged, but the execution of the plan was always put off. Ben was tired of waiting so he started planning the perfect proposal.

Topher’s favorite holiday is St. Patrick’s Day, so you can bet that is the day Ben popped the question. Ben invited all their friends out for drinks, which turned into the couple leaving their friends behind to walk at Bicentennial Park. While walking hand in hand, Ben began pouring his heart out to Topher. Before he knew it, Ben was on one knee proposing. Topher calls the proposal “the biggest surprise ever.”

Next stop, artsy town with the most amazing murals!

After shooting at Pins Mechanical Company, we headed over to the Short North Columbus area. I love shooting sessions in this quaint town covered in graffiti murals, quaint homes, and artsy shops. My favorite part about shooting engagement sessions are those conversations in between photos. We talked about their 3 dogs (Marlee, Maycee, and Daggy), Topher’s love for DIY projects, and how the couple equally loves hosting parties with friends and laying low on the couch.

This engagement session with Ben and Topher was filled with laughter, smiles, hugs, kisses, and everything in between. I’m so thankful they let me in on their love story!
